Take the 101 Frwy north from L.A. toward Ventura. Exit the 101
Frwy at Kanan Rd. in the city of Agoura. Go left over the Frwy
and pass Jack in the Box resturant. You will go through 2 tunnels.
Park in the parking area next to the 3rd tunnel (the tunnel is
marked T1). The trailhead is about 7 miles from where you exited
the Frwy on Kanan Rd. The trail goes over the tunnel and winds
around until you reach Latigo Cyn Rd. about 1 or 2 miles later.
The trail is hilly to very steep single track with thick brush
and Oak trees. Cross over Latigo Cyn and go left through the dirt
parking lot to where the trail starts again. The trail will wind
around for another mile or two and you will reach a dirt road.
Go left (up) on the dirt road. Near the top you will cross over
to the north side of the ridge and 50 yards down the north side
you will make a right. Now just follow the dirt road down and
stay to the right until you reach a gate and another dirt (Corral
Cyn.) parking lot. On the right you will see the start of a single
track leading down. Go there. Follow that single track. You will
cross a dirt road and keep going on the single track. It will
eventually go back up to the dirt road you were on earlier, look
right and you will see the singletrack (you came up) back to Latigo
Cyn, go down it. You are now on the single track that leads all
the way down to the Kanan parking lot and the T-1 tunnel. Just
backtrack to your car. It is all mountains with some very technical
rock sections.
